THE DELEGATION OF CZECH JOURNALISTS CONCLUDES ITS VISIT TO LEBANON


The delegation of Czech journalists left Lebanon yesterday at the end of the " Czech-Lebanon Friendship Week ". Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Czech Republic hosted a luncheon on that occasion.
Czech journalists had met with His Excellency Fouad Seniora, Minister of Finance, and discussed with him the financial situation of Lebanon, privatization as well as investment prospects. Then they visited His Excellency Ghazi Al Areedi, Minister of Information with whom they discussed the closing of " Télé Liban " and censorship laws.
The delegation discussed with His Excellency Dr. Karam Karam, Minister of Tourism the problem of Czech nationals getting visas to enter Lebanon. They conveyed Karam's promise to settle this problem.
During their meeting with His Excellency Najib Mikati, Minister of Transportation and Public Works, they discussed car imports regulations, transportation policy as well as the project of a railway line. 
Finally, His Excellency Bassel Fleihane, Minister of Economy and Trade, met with the delegation and informed them about Lebanon's current economic situation. He told the delegation unemployment rate reached 15%. It's noteworthy that the delegation visited Lebanon at "

A DELEGATION OF CZECH JOURNALISTS MEETS
 WITH LEBANESE MINISTERS

Within the framework of the " Czech-Lebanon Friendship Week ", a delegation of seven Czech journalists and TV staff arrived to Lebanon. The delegation held meetings with Mr. Bassel Fleihane, Minister of Economy, Mr. Najib Mikati, Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Mr. Fouad Seniora, Minister of Finance, Dr. Karam Karam, Minister of Tourism, and Mr. Ghazi Al Areedi, Minister of Information.

A luncheon attended by Mr. Ivan Korcak, Commercial Counselor of the Czech embassy, Dr. Faouzi Adaimi, president of Private Hospitals Syndicate, Mr. Michael Tolan, CEO of Platinum International, Mr. Mark Jechumtal, area manager of CSA, Dr. Mhalid Amsha, President of the Czech and Slovak Alumni Association, and many other journalists, was hosted for this occasion.

Speeches were delivered stressing the importance of cooperation between the two countries.
